SPECIAL WOODEN MARIONETTES

The term 'Marionette' does not mean 'string puppet' as many suppose. Rather, it refers to 'little Marys' which were puppets used long ago in religious plays. By definition, Marionettes can be Hand Puppets, String Puppets, Ventriloquist Dummys or, in this case Rod Puppets. These wooden puppets, designed for ages 3 and up, are hand painted and come with a unique control handle that brings them to life. Prince Doug (#M3887) and Princess Melissa (#M3888) are both about 9 inches tall (not including the control rod) and their Horse 'Sawdust' (#M3889) is about 5 inches tall and 9 inches long. Engineered to fit the #1004 Classroom Stage (above) this shelf provides a stable flat surface on which puppets can place props (such as the vase pictured at left). Constructed out of solid pine, this accessory folds in half for easy storage and needs no additional hardware to secure onto the stage.
